Tierra Santa Reconnect is deliberately small: two Jungle Villas and two rooms in the Sanctuary House, surrounded by rainforest and shaped by architecture that invites calm.

A private refuge beneath the canopy: a serene bedroom, its own bathroom and a wide veranda that opens directly into the forest. The villas are shaped by sacred geometry and natural materials — calm by design. Wake to the monkeys in the treetops, take your morning coffee on the deck, and begin the day with our Ayurveda-inspired Costa Rican signature breakfast from the La Seta Jungle Kitchen.

Your own private jungle house, reserved entirely for you: two bedrooms, a spacious open living lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, one full bath and an additional guest WC with a second sink, framed by rainforest decks. Enjoy total privacy — prepare your own meals with local ingredients, or let the La Seta kitchen cook for you. As the house is booked without breakfast, you are welcome to add our signature breakfast at any time and, on the weekend, a dinner at La Seta to your stay.

Our Ayurveda-inspired Costa Rican signature breakfast from the La Seta Jungle Kitchen is included with individual rooms and villas, and can be added when you rent the entire Sanctuary House.
The whole house and its rooms are linked in the booking calendar to prevent double bookings.

The Place
Kathrin Schmack designed Tierra Santa as a portal: a built threshold between the human nervous system, the living landscape and a wider sense of connection. Geometry, orientation, materials, light and the rhythms of nature work together to support stillness and clarity.
This approach brings spatial perception, classical Feng Shui and spiritual practice into dialogue. We call it multidimensional architecture — an experiential way of designing space that grew out of an inner attitude of oneness with the cosmic laws of nature. It carries memory, and a spirit of innocent wildness. Whether a space moves something in you, you know the moment you arrive.

Blue Morpho is my signature offering: a private healing journey of five nights, Sunday to Friday, for one person or a couple. Private healing journeys, trauma work and reconnection find their perfect frame here. In these five days a quiet magic grows — slowly, softly, always when something in you is ready. When it serves the journey, I bring in Indigenous knowledge keepers whose knowledge and work I have trusted for years.
Blue Morpho is an exclusive, deep immersion from Sunday to Friday. During these five days, the entire energetic grid of Tierra Santa is dedicated solely to you and your process.

The founder
Interior architect, Feng Shui Master, author and founder. For 25 years, Kathrin has worked with the subtle frequencies of space — and with the question of how places can remind people of their own inner order. Tierra Santa Reconnect is the built expression of that path.
The masters who shaped the path
The Pallottine priest and Zen master, a student of Hugo M. Enomiya-Lassalle, opened a path in which Christian contemplation and Zen practice could meet without contradiction. His teaching rooted Kathrin's understanding of silence, presence and inner transformation.
Through one of the most respected teachers of classical Feng Shui, Kathrin entered a precise lineage of Taoist spatial knowledge. Years of study and certification shaped her ability to read orientation, time, form and movement as one connected system. His life motto — “Save Our Children’s Future” — became her own: all healing, at its heart, is reconnection — so children can grow up in peace, as children of love. Kathrin has witnessed this effect for 25 years in her consultations.
One of the great teachers on Kathrin's path: over 25 years ago she learned the art of the shamanic dream journey with her and gained deep insight into the transpersonal way. Zundel, too, is a Dragon in the Chinese horoscope — carrying the same Gua number as Kathrin, a connection both understood as a sign. She opened Kathrin's access to the primordial, pre-Christian femininity of the West — the pre-patriarchal knowing that women themselves are portals, far more powerful than they were made to believe for millennia. This foundation carried Kathrin's work for many years.
For self-organised groups
Institutions, facilitators and private groups of up to eight people can reserve the lodge for a self-organised retreat. Tierra Santa provides the place, rooms and cuisine; programme leadership remains with your group. SpiritPlanning® may also be requested as an architectural learning format.
